Civil Traffic Infraction Hearing Officer Position for the City of Opa-Locka, FL

THE CITY OF OPA-LOCKA is seeking a Civil Traffic Infraction Hearing Officer to conduct administrative hearings related to notices of violation issued for red light camera infractions in accordance with s.316.0083, Florida Statutes. Qualified applicant must be a member of the Florida Bar in good standing for at least 5 years; not already serving as a hearing officer or holding a public office for another jurisdiction or for the State of Florida; and must have completed, or be willing to complete, a 40-hour education and training program approved by the Florida Supreme Court. Red Light Camera Hearings are anticipated to last no longer than four hours, one day per month. Letters of interest with resumes should be emailed to Michele Samaroo, Assistant City Attorney at msamaroo@opalockafl.gov by March 2, 2018.
