Welcome to the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women
It was wonderful seeing so many of you at our 2nd Annual Women Lawyers
of Color Summit! It was truly a great weekend — from honoring trailblazing
sisters of color who are leaving the bench, to discussing how to build a bench;
from learning how to care for our bodies to being reminded from a 9/11 survivor
that we are here for a purpose — we learned, laughed, cried and celebrated.

your loved ones are registered and ready to vote -- our future depends on
As summer ends and fall begins, it’s a good time to take stock on where we are.
It’s not too late to recommit to some of those new year’s goals. My goal for
GSCBWLA this year is to keep you informed, and to create the space for you to
grow your networks. The Summit was the first step. I look forward to
seeing you at our upcoming fall membership meeting.
